Project Description:
Ground up construction of five story, 101,000 Sq. Ft., Cast-In-Place Concrete Structure with Multiple Finish Skin
Problem/Challenge:
- Multiple design changes during construction
- Water/Moisture Control due to multiple exterior skin materials
Corrective Action
Increased frequency of design/co-ordination/progress meetings with owner, consultants, and subcontractors in order to adopt to and respond quickly to design changes
The McDonnel Group hired, at no additional expense to the owner, a nationally renowned water-proofing consulting firm which proposed the most current and technologically-advanced methods of moisture control. The McDonnel Group implemented innovative recommendations and solutions resulting in a water-tight building.
