This renovation project began in July 2012 on a fast-track schedule and was completed by the end of the year, – just in time for guests to enjoy the hotel’s lavish upgrades for the Sugar Bowl and New Orleans’ 10th year as the host of the Superbowl in 2013. Work crews were scheduled 6 days a week with some 2nd shifts when necessary in order to accomplish this aggressive goal.
Main Entry Lobby and entry Porte Cochere: new flooring, new ceilings, new millwork, new check-in desk, paint/wall covering, re-staining the existing wood panels, and new lighting
